Pepys Community Forum is a community development trust, registered with the Development Trust Association (DTA). We are 100% led by local people, in our Area of Benefit.
PCF has two Delivery projects:
Our specialist project - Refugee Education Employment and Training Advice (REETA) - gives access for asylum seekers, refugees and residents - for information, advice and guidance (IAG) leading to training and employment.
Our specialist project - John Evelyn Community Garden - gives access for local people to the outdoor environment, in an urban area - to fresh organically grown food and plants.

Services

FREE Information, Advice and Guidance on Employment, Education and Training. Our bilingual Staff speak Arabic and Somali whilst delivering in English. REETA is a main Partner in the Employment and Training Consortium (ETC), formed in LB Lewisham in 2009. ETC is currently Contracted with LB Lewisham Comunity Sector Unit for Training and Employment services.
Evelyn Community Garden (ECG) grows food locally with the community and we have the support of volunteers to deliver a variety of seasonal vegetables to local people. We aim to develop a vibrant food economy and expand local food production in our area.

Products

REETA takes Clients who are resident in the LB Lewisham, for FREE IAG, leading to training and employment.
We also have a Link Worker, with the Twist Partnership and SEETEC, for the Work Programme where we are a specialist intervention Provider for East London and bordering Kent.
ECG supports local people to learn and develop horticultural activities. We hold regular Training Courses, which involve the use of our own plants and vegetables.
In addition we have a number of Enterprise projects as a creative and business hub occupying office and warehouse space - Creekside Forum, Media Skills Centre and On Line Spares.

Qualifications

MATRIX office standard - first held in 2007, and re-accredited in 2010 for a further 3 Years.
Carbon Smart Blue attained in 2010, where we monitor our CO2e and impact on the environment.
A main Partner in Employment and Training Consortium (ETC), formed in LB Lewisham 2009.
Member of Lewisham Refugee and Migrant Network LRMN).
Member of Voluntary Action Lewisham (VAL).
Member of London Community Resource Network (LCRN).

Staff & Management

Manager/Volunteer, PCF Chair - full time.
REETA IAG Advisor - 2 1/2 days a week.
REETA IAG Link Worker - 1 day a week.
Finance Worker - 1 day a week.
Garden Co-ordinator - 4 days a week.
Office Cleaner - one evening a week.
