About

I (Roger), am a Fully Qualified Counsellor, serving clients around the Northamptonshire Area. Jacqui (my wife) has been trained with The Church Army and compliments me in Couple Counselling. Female one-to-one Counselling also available.


I have been involved in Counselling since first being trained in 1989 at the Manna House - Northampton as a Volunteer.
I have worked as a Primary Health Care Counsellor, on contract to the N.H.S. for over two years, working in a G.P. Surgery in the Eastern District of Northampton. I have also worked with the Mental Health Team, based at Cheyne Walk Clinic, Northampton, working alongside Mental Health Specialists, Community Psychiatric Nurses, Social Services and Police.

Having obtained a HE Certificate in Psychology at Leicester University in 2010, also N.C.F.E Level 1,2 &3 in Counselling as a Refresher Course, finding that these degrees complimented my achievements in training greatly, also studying for my Diploma in Counselling since September 2010.

I have attended many training courses when working in the N.H.S. especially in Grief Work and Defeat Depression.

The Models Used and Theoretical Approach are mostly Eclectic, but drawing from my skills in C.B.T. (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy - Albert Ellis) and Person Centred (Carl Rogers). I also use my training in T.A. (Transactional Analysis), Maslow and Kubler-Ross (Grief Work).

I am a member of the A.C.C. and B.A.C.P. and use their Code of Ethics, and I have Regular Supervision. I am Advanced A.C.C. Accredited.
