I bought a dress from this lady in december 2011 whilst visiting jersey from england. She sold it to me having said that she had made the dress herself as with many of the dresses in her shop. When i got it home, i wore it once for a sit down meal on christmas day and during that time the blue discs on the dress started to fall off and those that were left started to shed their blue colour, leaving silver discs behind. I sent the dress back to my brother in law who lives in jersey but when he took it back the shop was closed for chinese new year. When it reopened again mid february, my brother in law was first of all ‘chastised’ for leaving it so long to return it, despite it having been sent from the uk and the shop being closed, and then told him that i had probably damaged the dress by getting drunk and ‘messing about’. It was explained that it was in charge of a 21 month old child and was driving elderly relatives on that day and that as a police officer it meant that i couldn’t afford to get drunk and mess about. I was either hoping for a full refund or a replacement dress but she was interested in either of those things. This woman was more than happy to take our money for an item she said she had made herself, but not prepared to discuss any form of recompense when it started to fall apart. She was also very quick to judge me and make unsubstantiated slanderous remarks in order to keep her money in her pocket. I advise people not to buy from this woman or her shop, unless you are prepared to cover the cost yourself if the clothes you buy in good faith start to fall apart.
