The Maternitywear Exchange Ltd was started in 1999 with the original name of Ladies In Waiting and became The Maternitywear Exchange in 2001. We are a dress agency dealing solely in maternity clothes - both second hand and pre-loved items and brand new end-of-line, end-of business stock. We stock over 3000 items in sizes 8-22 from lingerie and breastfeeding tops,casual and work clothes, evening dresses and wedding dresses, all at 50-70% off the recommended sales prices. Stock is regularly replaced and out of season items are always available for that last minute holiday.

We provide a wide range of choice both in styles, size and manufacturers to suit all sizes, bump shapes and lifestyles. We are open by appointment only to provide a private personalised service, or for those unable to get to us, a fully secure internet ordering site. We aim to provide a peaceful, friendly and enjoyable shopping experience.

The Maternitywear Exchange Ltd stocks over 30 manufacturers of maternity clothes, from the familiar high street names of Mothercare, Next, JoJoMamanBebe and Marks&Spencers to the mailorder and specialist European names of Valja, Noppies, Vida Vita, Tete a Tete.

Business Staff & Management
The Maternitywear Exchange Ltd is owned and run by Miriam Blazey, and has been from the very start. Miriam is a working mum of 2 daughters and set the business up originally as a hobby, and then as a fulltime business with her husband providing help with marketing and her father setting up the first website. Friends and family and customers took up modelling assignments and her mother made lots of tea! The business is now run on a part-time basis but nevertheless still aims to provide the same level of service as it has always prided itself on.

Business Clients
The Maternitywear Exchange clients have been and are local parents-to-be, parents all over the UK and some from abroad. Many customers have become friends and some still recognise me many years later even if they had only visited once as the lady that helped them enjoy their pregnancy by being comfortable and stylish. I have especially enjoyed finding a wedding dress for that very special day and have been privileged to meet some of the bumps when they became babies. My maternitywear has been seen on Discovery Health and Big Brother!
