Staff & Management

The German House was founded by Dr Diane Milburn, a highly experienced German to English medical and pharmaceutical translator. After several years working in business in Germany and the UK, she completed a PhD in German and was employed as a lecturer in the German Department of Leeds University. She subsequently moved into the translation industry, specializing in German to English medical translation, managing an in-house team of German translators and proof-readers working on a contract for the Ministry of Defence for 11 years. In 2009 she founded The German House, bringing with her this extensive experience of German to English translation and attention to detail.
