Business QualificationsFrom the company's inception in 1987, Proteus Software has been a leading author of "State of the Art", innovative Warehouse Management Systems. We have achieved Elite partner status with Progress Software, are a Psion Gold Partner, have won the Progress Business Edge for Retail Partner of the Year award and have received many commendations for our staff on an individual basis. We are members of the United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA), Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) , Business Application Software Developers Association BASDA, Storage Equipment Manufacturers Association (SEMA) and the All Ireland Warehousing Association (AIWA). We are also a proactive member of Skills for Logistics, sitting on the Steering Committee for the Schools Program.

Individual Profiles
DAVID GRAY
As Chief Executive, David is responsible for the leadership of the management team, in addition to the Strategy and Finance determination of the Company. David is an experienced business manager with extensive knowledge of IT/Supply Chain related issues, particularly within a wholesale distribution based business. Having successfully completed his post-graduate Diploma in Management Studies, David continued to build his career upon a solid foundation of general management experience with major UK companies including ICI, GEC, Ford Motor Company, Xerox and Unisys, before establishing Proteus Software Limited in 1987 and leading the management buy-out of the business in 1996, with Howard Turvey.
HOWARD TURVEY
As Managing Director, Howard is responsible for Client Sales. Howard is highly experienced in the world of IT having worked in the industry since 1973 with companies such as Burroughs, Sperry, and Unisys. Prior to his involvement in the management buy-out of Proteus Software Ltd in 1996 he held various management positions in Proteus, Trace Computers, and Systime. During his working life Howard has proved his expertise in business management and knowledge of the IT industry. He also has extensive experience in customer relationships. Since the management buy-out Howard’s key projects have included all aspects of management, sales and marketing. He has also been responsible for setting up and managing international distributors of Proteus software.
TONY PEARSON
As Technical /Customer Services Director Tony is responsible for our Software Development, Technical and the Application Support Teams so essential for the successful implementation of our client projects. A highly experienced software designer and developer, Tony has been employed by Proteus Software Ltd for the last 10 years. Prior to joining the company he worked for the University of London, and Computer Solutions. During his working life Tony has become expert in providing real business benefit by designing and developing applications that take advantage of latest technologies. The number of successful implementations in computer projects that he has managed has proved this expertise.
Leonie Williams
As Services Manager, Leonie is responsible for the managing the Services Team. This includes The Proteus Help Line, Application Services, Technical Services and Development Services. Her role very often includes sitting down with clients to ascertain their specific business requirements, enabling Proteus to develop a solution suited to those requirements. After the client has reviewed and signed off the specification, Leonie schedules the development with her teams, heading up and actively participating in the programming.
Leonie first joined Proteus in 1997 for a “Sandwich†year during her Business Information Systems degree course from Sheffield Hallam University. During that time she worked on the Help Line. She also made a major contribution to the Proteus Visions and Values philosophy, and to the Investors in People accreditation.
Having successfully completing her degree in 1999, graduating with a 2:1 BSc Hons, she returned to Proteus, continuing her work on the Help Line.
Over the last ten years Leonie has progressed through the company by moving into development, until progressing on to her current role as Services Manager. Leonie is perceived to be a true Team player, with a good sense of humour, who genuinely cares about our clients. She will always do her utmost to ensure that Proteus clients always get the right solution for them.
