Peter S Peters & Company Limited are Insurance Loss Assessors acting on behalf of commercial & domestic clients making insurance claims against their Insurers following fire, burglary, flood or subsidence. Peter S Peters & Company Limited was established in 1977 and is Authorised and Regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
Services
Insurers do not deal with claims themselves; they appoint Loss Adjusters. The role of the Loss Adjuster is to investigate the circumstances of the claim. They will reject the claim if in their opinion there is no cover under the policy or if you have failed to comply with any policy terms or conditions. They often compare the information given at the time of claim with the information provided when the policy was taken out to see if there are any discrepancies that may allow them to cancel or void the policy and therefore the claim. If the claim is accepted they will be looking at how they can minimise the amount paid. This may be by using their own suppliers to replace items, or their own contractors to undertake building works, or even a reduced cash settlement.
