Business Description

Pathfinder Dogs received its charity status in 2003 and its company status in 2004. Before we reached these two milestones a number of surveys had been carried out with a large portion of the blind people throughout the UK who had previously worked a guide dog. We wanted to make sure there was a demand before we entered into such a large venture. Being a relatively new and boutique Scottish Charity we, like many others, find funding a challenge. We do not receive any government funding or Lottery funding. Most of our funds are raised by donations and sponsored events.
