A message from the founder:

Hi,

My name is Nina and I have been cooking and baking for people with allergies and intolerances for over 10 years. My personal experience of allergies has been of my anaphylaxis to tree and ground nuts, and I went gluten free in 2012. Members of my family are also allergic to nuts and lactose intolerant; as you may have experienced, family meals require planning, let alone birthday parties!

Going gluten-free made eating out more difficult, especially when it came to birthday celebrations. With the increasing number of friends going gluten-free and more demand for gluten-free cakes and products, NM Cakes was founded. Currently based in Manchester we supply to the local area with savoury products in delis and cafes and personalised allergy safe cakes to customers throughout Greater Manchester. We have also added dairy-free and egg-free recipes to the list! If you have dietary requirements, we want to help!

NM Cakes is about providing you with peace of mind. Having personal experiences of the worries of looking after yourself or loved ones with intolerances or life threatening allergies, as well as the consequences of lack of attention and understanding of anaphylaxis. I wanted to help others like me by providing that care-free home-made eating experience but without the hassle of doing it yourself. Celebrations should be fun and relaxing, so NM Cakes was created to help you on your special day and provide you with yummy cakes.

Gluten free/Wheat free/Nut free/Vegan/Dairy free Cakes

NM Cakes are individually tailored to suit your dietary needs. We create unique cakes for all celebrations such as birthdays, weddings or anniversaries. We specialise in nut free, wheat free and gluten free cake and recently added vegan and lastose free recipes to our range. NM Cakes only works with gluten free and wheat free ingredients making the kitchen environment safer for you. By choosing us for your birthday cake/wedding cake/celebration cake, you can have peace of mind. Our mission is to provide you with peace of mind so that when you take a bit of cake it is purely enjoyable.

Flavours

Sponge cake! Some popular flavours of cake are vanilla, chocolate, banana, lemon, strawberry, coffee. All these options are gluten, wheat and nut free. If you need an eggless or lactose/dairy free cake this is possible too.

Icing! Great butter-cream icings are vanilla, chocolate, coffee, baileys, kahlua, cream-cheese frosting to name a few. Dairy-free options are also available.

We are constantly experimenting with new flavours, so if you have something specific in mind please let us know. We want to work with you to create your dream cake!

Ingredients

NM Cakes only uses the best possible ingredients. We believe that looking after your body is incredibly important, this is why we make our cakes healthy as well as tasty. We only use gluten free flours such as rice, coconut and tapioca flours made up into our special blend to create a light, moist and yummy sponge. NM Cakes also seeks to use as much organic and locally sourced produce helping to support local farmers and businesses.

When you order a cake from us we make sure you are happy with all the ingredients we use before the cake is made. If you are unsure of any ingredient or manufacturers warning, we don’t use it. We will make sure you feel comfortable and safe with the ingredients in your cake.

Cake Prices

As all cakes are custom made making each cake unique. These prices are a guideline and are based on a round sponge cake simply decorated with white sugarpaste icing. There are no added costs for eggless, vegan, or dairy free options.
