Our latest portfolio ranges from supporting major infrastructure projects in London such as Crossrail and the East London Line and providing design services for new magistrates courts in Birmingham UK to serving as technical advisor on PPP/PFI projects totalling over £12 billion in capital value, providing engineering, procurement and construction management services on an oil storage terminal project in the Emirate of Fujairah and working in a consortium designing one of the world’s largest hydropower projects, Bhunji, on the River Indus in Pakistan.
Our diverse skills and services have also been applied to several cities hosting major sporting events. In China our cost consultants facilitated the relocation of training and support facilities for the 2008 Beijing Games while in Canada we were lead designer for the Sea-to-Sky Highway Improvements Project, increasing safety, capacity and reliability in preparation for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. We’re providing structural engineering design services for the new Mbombela Stadium, one of the venues for the 2010 Football World Cup in South Africa and we led all engineering design for London’s Wembley Stadium.
We’re now finding a growing proportion of our work conducted in partnerships, particularly on large projects like San Francisco’s Oakland Bay Bridge where we’re in joint venture with Bay Area Management Consultants (BAMC). We’re also enjoying success on major frameworks including three contracts for Scottish Water Solutions, two five-year alliances with National Grid to upgrade and develop the electricity transmission network across England and Wales, a five-year infrastructure engineering framework for the UK Department for International Development and a water and coastal management framework with the US Agency for International Development.
