Malawi Delights is a privately owned business based in London, founded in 2005 under the name Walani.
We believe Malawi as a country should be helped through trade, Malawi should export more products to the UK and more importantly local farmers and tradesmen should be rewarded for their hard work. We see trade as a vital key to rectifying economic injustice. We believe trade creates international networks of people who work to develop their skills, their resources and their communities; through trade they can work their way out of poverty, develop economically, educationally and politically.
Local people and business in Malawi do not have access to global markets. We aim to offer our suppliers free and fair access to the UK markets. We cannot offer that access and help as a charity as it is expensive, hence the formation of Malawi Delights as a limited company.
