The London Centre of Spoken English offers coaching in English pronunciation, elocution, accent reduction and soft skills such as presentation and public speaking. Our professional coaches have the wide experience needed to address various accents with which English is spoken around the world such as in Europe, Latin America, the Indian sub-continent, China and the Far East.
Our aim is to help people speak with what is variously called Received Pronunciation (RP), Queen's English, Oxford or BBC English. It is the most widely recognised and respected English accent. We also coach people to speak with a Standard or General American accent. General American has become widely spoken in many American films, TV series, national news and radio broadcasts.
We have a group of highly qualified coaches with wide ranging experience of working with high profile personnel and organisations from across the world. They are experts in the fields of accent reduction and other soft skills such as presentation and public speaking, voice projection and elocution.

Accent Reduction
The pronunciation and speech patterns of non-native speakers of English are generally influenced by the speech patterns of their first language. This can lead to difficulty in understanding and being understood by native English speakers. Our coaches are experts in accent reduction. They have qualifications and experience to change non-native accent, pronunciation and intonation to British or American style of spoken English. For many years, our coaches have worked with clients from Europe, Middle Eastern countries, China, India, Japan, South Korea and South American countries. They have developed extensive knowledge of the speech patterns of all major world languages and have developed programmes to work with the speakers of these languages. London Centre has compiled extensive written and audio course materials which are employed during coaching and used by clients for practice after the course.
Presentation Skills
Our presentation skills coaching is delivered by specialist coaches who have considerable experience in training high profile corporate clients who need to make presentations to their clients and colleagues. A confident, well delivered presentation can effectively put across ideas and proposals and lead to business and personal success. London Centre has developed a conducive blend of scientific techniques and personal coaching which makes the presenter appear thoroughly professional and sound confident and persuasive. Our technique improves posture, muscle relaxation and breathing control for better voice projection. We work on the timing and emphasis in delivery. We also advise on the design, layout and content of the presentation material so that the speaker builds a rapport with the audience.
Public Speaking, Voice Projection & Confidence Building

In public speaking the quality of voice and its projection are of great importance.
