Bordering rich meadows where sheep and cows graze, our nine highly individual cottages provide a perfect base for those seeking a countryside setting whilst still being only a short walk to the lovely old market town. Pickering’s attractions include the famous North York Moors steam railway, a historic 12th century castle, Victorian museum and indoor swimming pool as well as excellent shops, market, pubs and restaurants selling superb local produce.

Our traditional stone cottages are set around a peaceful courtyard and fountain with large adjoining gardens that contains a Garden house and barbeque and play area. They retain much of their original rustic character with open beamed ceilings, traditional stone fireplaces and pan tile roofs so typical of the area. These spacious cottages have superbly equipped kitchens and are furnished to an extremely high standard with the emphasis on comfort and relaxation.

If you would like to take some of the “self” out of self-catering or would like to celebrate a special occasion we can prepare a gourmet meal for you and personally served in your cottage. Specialty catering can be arranged for birthdays, anniversaries, picnics and barbecues and we also have a range of locally produced frozen meals to suit most tastes.
