DA Media develop specialist software for the national and regional newspaper and magazine industry, designed specifically to enhance tracking of advertising sales, production workflow and cater for nearly all reporting requirements.

Although the majority of our client base is in the National & Regional Newspaper and Magazine industry, our products can be utilized by just about any type of business. Our main product is the MediaStats web reporting and application suite. Our company has been in existence since September 2001. DA Media’s speciality is bespoke software systems using such technologies as Adobe ColdFusion, Crystal Reports (Client & Web based), Adobe Flash & Adobe Air applications and SQL databases. The business is located in Kent, UK.

DA Media provides software services including the following: web application development (ColdFusion, ASP, PHP etc.), website development, domain and web hosting, Crystal Report design, developer training sessions in these technologies and consultancy.

Products

MediaStats - intranet based corporate reporting tool. Able to report from jusyt about any database and other datasources. Reports are then easily viewed via a web-browser with full control over which staff have access to which reports.

WebTaker - internet based self-service classified ad creation system. Allows your customers to cxreate their own advert quickly and easily online. WebTaker integrates seamlessly with your back-end advrtisiing and production systems to deliver both the full booking details and print-ready artwork to the respective systems.

WebPlanner - intranet based system to allow visual inspection of a flat plan of your newspaper or magazine publication as production of each issue progresses including the ability to track low-res versions of all advertising and editorial content as it is produced. Various data overlays (e.g. page completion times and targets, statuses, pairing & off-stone timestamps) as well as the ability to hook into actions in your back-end systems that can be inititiated from context-menus.

BootStrap - simple to use web-based system to automtically switch settings and datasources of ColdFusion based systems in a Disaster Recovery situation. Pressing a simple and clear button on the page can switch your entire system to connect to all your Business Continuity systems saving both time and stress.

MediaGraph - intranet based chart generation system. Operates as a web-based service. Tabular data can be fed in, from a spreadsheet for example, along with some optional configuration data and the system produces high-quality, print-ready charts for inclusion in your publication whetjer it be print or web based.

Staff & Management

Director, Dave Boulden, has over 25 years experience of software system design and implementation within the Newspaper and Magazine industry, including 14 years at the Daily Express. His experience covers many web-based technologies having used most of them since they were first introduced.
