CWB Electrical Engineers Ltd was established by Chris Burton in October 2012. Although the business itself is new, Chris and the associated staff are not new to this area of expertise. Chris has 15 years experience of working in the demanding environment that surrounds the manufacturing sector, having previously worked for General Motors, and has fantastic experience and knowledge regarding breakdown situations. Couple this experience with the fellow associates and CWB has a combined experience approaching 75 years across a vast and equally varied array of industries including: Pharmaceutical, Medical, Plastics, Food, Automotive and Defence.

Business Services
Control Panel Manufacture

The pinnacle of our business, we believe is our control panel and control system design and manufacture. Designed and built in the UK, we can build control panels with push button contacts through to full PLC control. Though we would not recommend full PLC control particularly in a high intensity manufacturing environment due to the potential issues that become apparent when things go wrong or stop working. We have attended many breakdowns where a PLC unit has failed resulting in complete loss of production, sometimes for days at a time, depending on the severity of the failure.
Although old fashioned, we prefer a contactor or relay and a push button as acquiring these as spares, or wiring temporary alterations is much faster and cheaper than having to renew a PLC. However, this is your purgative.
Customers can choose from custom fascias and have complete control of the design, or allow us to design and manufacture the control panel on your behalf. Please see our pictures to give you an idea of what we can do for you.

24-7 Breakdown Service

CWB offer a 24-7 breakdown service to reinforce our services to the manufacturing sector. We find that breakdowns fall into two categories, namely URGENT and NON URGENT.
We aim to attend URGENT breakdowns the same day and can usually accommodate an immediate response. If we cannot respond immediately, or during the course of that day, we will aim to be first to your premises the next day (including weekends). NON URGENT breakdowns will be attended at a mutually convenient time. We carry spares on our vans giving us the best chance possible of resolving the issue there and then.
We believe our charges are extremely reasonable for the quality of service and are hence presented so
Callouts made from 7:01am to 6:00pm are charged at £75 + VAT plus an engineers rate of £25 + VAT per hour for the duration of the callout.
Callouts made from 6:01pm to 7:00am are charged at £125 + VAT plus an engineers rate of £25 + VAT per hour for the duration of the callout. Please note, travel time may be included depending on the locailty of the callout to our base location in Dunstable, Bedfordshire.

Electrical Design

This service is mainly to accompany our control panel manufacturing service. We can design the system in house and then manufacture to our design. Alternatively, we can offer just a design only service, including parts lists and panel layouts if required.

Electrical Installation

Here at CWB we can offer the complete package from design to manufacture through to installation. Our installation service covers single and three phase installation, armoured cabling, trunking, tray and everything in between. We can also install specialist equipment such as Power Factor Correction Units. Our installation work will conform to the latest version of the IEE wiring regulations. We take immense pride in our work and you can be assured that you will be more than satisfied with the final outcome. Our vast experience aids us to foresee potential issues and avoid them, saving you time and money.
