Bisca was founded in 1995 by richard mclane after graduating from northumbria university with a first class honours degree in design. During his time at university richard experimented with combining elements of glass, steel and timber into his designs, rebelling against tutors keen for students to specialise in a single medium. Instead richard concentrated on becoming confident and competent in the interface between various media and pushing boundaries in design aesthetics
