My name is Clare Abbott and I own Baby Face Art.
I am a Buckinghamshire based portrait artist specialising in portraits of children, people and pets. After a long break from art working as a Nurse, I came back to drawing after the birth of my first child. I found him a real inspiration and loved sketching him. A few friends saw the work I was doing and asked me to draw their children and Baby Face Art was born.
I have since had many commissions from parents and pet owners alike.
I work primarily in graphite but also love pastel (for pets) and coloured pencil.
Working from photographs, I take the time to ensure I capture the subjects unique characteristics to help the personality shine through in the portrait. I am not a photo realist but I do try to make my work as realistic as possible, with some artistic licence to bring the portrait to life.
I believe everyone should have the opportunity to own a lovely piece of artwork, not just the rich and wealthy. Therefore my prices are realistic and flexible so everyone can afford them.
