I am a sole trader and run a small home based cake business from home since October 2011. I bake fresh cakes from scratch and create custom designed novelty cakes to customers requirements. I run the business on my own.

Products

I produce different flavoured sponge and fruit cakes covered in a fondant icing with wording of your choice. I create freshly baked home made novelty cakes custom designed to customers requirements. Other flavours consist of rich chocolate sponge, moist carrot cake, lemon sponge with lemon buttercream, vanilla sponge with jam and buttercream and fruit cake all covered with fondant icing and custom designed. I also create cake toppers as figurines made from fondant.

Qualifications

I have a 16+ in Art and design which helps me to incorporate my artistic flair in creating unique cake designs.
I am currently being interviewed by an author to be used as a case study in starting a creative cake business from home.

Staff & Management

I work alone from home and I make all the decisions for my business.

Clients

My clients have been mostly in Liverpool but recently have some from St Helen's . My customers have used google to help find my website. I have been attracting women mostly young for children's birthdays and special occasions, christening, special birthdays.
