The Debt Advisor is a multi-award winning practice offering advice and solutions which will bring relief from debt. They are passionate about helping individuals back on their “financial feet” and their advisors are expertly trained to talk customers through the various solutions which are available and suitable to their needs.

The Debt Advisor are dedicated to offering sensible help with debt and advising their clients of the most appropriate solution which will help bring relief from debt.

Their debt advisors are expertly trained to talk clients through various options such as: debt management, IVA, full and final IVA, bankruptcy and debt consolidation.

Their team offer a friendly personal and professional debt advice service from start to finish. Whether clients need debt management, IVA or general help with debt advice, their advisors are there to assist.

The Debt Advisor are also members of DEMSA (Debt Managers Standards Association) who have code 2 approval from the OFT (Office of Fair Trading) and are also members of the DRF (Debt Resolution Forum).

Beverley Budsworth is the Managing Director of The Debt Advisor who has over 20 years' experience in dealing with debt issues.

In June 1999, Beverley established The Debt Advisor after spending 17 years with an international firm of chartered accountants where she specialised in personal and business insolvency.

Her experience of dealing with personal debt issues led, in 2005, to Beverley being asked to join a government-led working party to look at ways of simplifying the formal procedures of helping people out of debt.

In May 2008, Beverley's hard work was finally recognised by the industry when she was awarded the prestigious title of national ‘Debt Counsellor of the Year’ by Credit Today in the same year that she also achieved 'Insolvency Practitioner of the Year' at the Insolvency and Rescue awards.
