Business Description

We are currently supporting people with a wide range of needs within a variety of settings, including those with complex and dual diagnosis. The settings include a key ring based accommodation to people living in their own homes. When the CQC last made rating assessments Caring Alternatives was rated as a 3 Star provider (Care Quality Commission is the national industry regulation body). Our core services are in the Wigan and Atherton area. We are on the Wigan Mental Health Framework and we are accredited with St Helens Social Services and Halton and St Helens Primary Care Trust. We also have several spot contracts with Bolton Council (Mental Health Services and Learning Disabilities Services), Tameside Council (Learning Disabilities and Mental Health Services) and Rochdale Council (Learning Disabilities and Physical Disabilities).
Support and care is person centred and we use the principles of recovery for our service delivery model. We are happy to work collaboratively and are constantly seeking innovative ways of working to ensure that people using services are self-determining. Our aim is to enable people to become as independent as possible and to lead contented, valued and fulfilled lives.
